1. Who we are
iPTO, also known as iPTO.TV, operates ipto.uk and provides domains, hosting, business email, cloud infrastructure, software development and technical support. For privacy questions or data requests, contact s@ipto.tv.
2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect your name, email address, billing and business details, telephone number, account credentials, support messages, domain registration information, order and subscription records, IP address, browser/device information, security events, and payment identifiers such as Stripe customer or payment references. We do not store full payment-card numbers.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To create and manage your account and deliver the services you purchase: contract.
- To process payments, subscriptions, invoices, refunds and fraud checks: contract and legitimate interests.
- To register and manage domains, DNS, hosting, email and support requests: contract and legal obligations.
- To secure the site, prevent abuse, maintain backups and troubleshoot incidents: legitimate interests.
- To send service messages and, where permitted, marketing: contract, legal obligation or consent as applicable.
- To comply with accounting, tax, legal and regulatory requirements: legal obligation.
4. Service providers
We may share the minimum information needed with payment provider Stripe, domain/registrar providers, hosting and infrastructure suppliers, email delivery providers, security and monitoring providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required. Providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices and are required to protect it.
5. International transfers
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.
6. Retention
We retain account, order, invoice and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and legal obligations. Support and security records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary. When information is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised securely.
7. Your rights
Subject to legal exceptions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact us at s@ipto.tv. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or the supervisory authority in your country.
8. Security and breaches
We use access controls, encrypted credentials, secure transport, backups, monitoring and administrator two-factor authentication. No internet service is completely risk-free. If we identify a personal-data breach requiring notification, we will notify affected people and regulators as required by law.
9. Children and changes
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect children’s data. We may update this notice when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change; the latest version will be published on this page.
